Not-Half-Bard!
Hartsdown Academy students took part in a workshop in the lead up to this year’s Shakespeare Schools Festival at Margate’s Theatre Royal.
The workshop was a chance for Year 10 Performing Arts students and to showcase a little of what they had rehearsed so far in their version of A Midsummer’s Night Dream and gain some quality feedback from professional actors.
The day was made up of short talks from visiting professional actors and stage manager, production meetings and talks, direction workshops, performance and feedback sessions.
Mr Morton, Head of Performing Arts, said: “The whole day was extremely productive and the students were amazing. It was a great opportunity for them to work with, and get some direction from, professional actors in a professional theatre.”
Hartsdown Academy will be performing an abridged version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Shakespeare Schools Festival at the Theatre Royal on 9 November 2016.
