Key Stage 4 Provision

The Key Stage 4 curriculum at Hartsdown Academy is designed to provide students with a robust and ambitious foundation for future success, whether they choose academic A-Levels, vocational courses, or apprenticeships. All students follow a demanding core curriculum leading to GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics (Foundation, Higher or Further), Statistics and Science (either Combined Science or Triple Science). This core is complemented by a structured options process that encourages a balanced education, with students choosing from a broad Range of GCSE and equivalent Level 2 vocational subjects The provision is underpinned by the school’s core aim ‘Education for an amazing life’ ensuring high expectations for academic progress and the development of well-rounded, career-ready individuals.
