Mr Knight says “I had the privilege today of taking the twelve successful Y8 students from our 28 Day Challenge throughout Term 5 to Dover Sea Sports Centre. They were an absolute joy to be with, we had the best of days and they were wonderful ambassadors for our school.
The 28 Day Challenge was essentially a scheme for the duration of last term where every Y8 student had an equal opportunity to earn a place on this reward trip – six places for the highest STRIVE point earner in each tutor group and six places for the outstanding contributor to class (nominated by each tutor) over this set period only.
Our 12 winners were:
Outstanding contribution – Lucas, Frankie, Robert, Aston, Saffron, Ella
Highest STRIVE – Finley, Leo, Elijah-Jaymes, Bryony, Zac, Harry
They spent the morning participating in team building activities together which we used to then explore briefly at the end the ‘kind of hat they wear’ and how these characteristics/personalities/attributes play out both in and out of school – this was a real eye opener and we had some great discussion around this. The afternoon was then spent on the water paddle boarding and sailing”.
