A small group of students will not be able to access the mainstream curriculum. The primary reasons for this are:
Low ability/Significant SEN
Late arrival into the county with limited English
Significant Social Emotional or Behaviour Issues (SEBH)
As an inclusive school we consider that it is unacceptable to allow these children to fail or to move them to the pupil referral units. We therefore offer a variety of programs.
The ARK – KS3 and 4 Curriculum for children with SEBH. This takes place at our vocational centre.
Enterprise Curriculum KS4 curriculum for students unable to access the full main stream curriculum
Futures KS5 for students who are not ready for Employment or Further education
