The Department for Education have shared this leaflet to help with preparing for the return to school. Parents are also encouraged to visit gov.uk/backtoschool for information and practical guidance to help them plan for their children’s return to school.
The expectation is that all students have full uniform. This is in line with government guidance.
Our key uniform provider has stated:
Please contact the school if you have any further questions.
The Department for Education has released guidance for parents and carers to provide reassurance ahead of students returning to school next week.
This has been an incredibly difficult and confusing time. We are really proud of all of the students and the results they have received.
We have produced a fact sheet to explain the current position. If you have any queries please contact Mrs Rigden.
Youth Sport Trust have shared some resources to keep you busy and active during the summer holiday. Check out their website to download them and sign up for their monthly newsletter.
Firstly, we would like to congratulate all of your A-Level students who have managed to successfully progress to their preferred destination.
No doubt the last 24 hours have been a trying time for students and staff trying to negotiate the options made available to them late in the day by the government. Our thoughts are with any student that received grades significantly lower than mock results or predicted grades and who might be facing an uncertain future while they consider making an appeal, in order to meet the terms of their University offer.
We want to reassure you that at Canterbury Christ Church University we are here to support your students at this anxious time and will hold original offers until final regraded results are received. places will be guaranteed as long as regraded results mean that the terms of the offer have been met.
We can also discuss alternative courses available with your students’ current grades and explore what opportunities are still available at Christ Church.
We have a dedicated Clearing team who are here to help with every step. Students can call 01227 926000 to discuss further.
