On Tuesday 6th February, Hartsdown were involved in the CAT MAD event. It was an evening designed to celebrate Music, Art and Dance across the schools involved with the Coastal Academy Trust. Hartsdown performed three numbers led by Mrs Richardson and Mrs Pollard. The 6th form Performing Arts students performed "When You're an Addams" from the Addams Family Musical, they demonstrated a high level of professionalism and received many laughs from the audience. Hartsdown choir performed two numbers, "Wings" by Little Mix and "When I Grow Up" from Matilda. Their performance was energetic and to a high standard. They embodied school ethos and expectation in the way they performed and conducted themselves. The CAT finale, "Never Forget" by Take That was led and accompanied by Hartsdown. It saw all of the staff and students involved throughout the evening, coming together to celebrate its success.
The evening was a huge success and we are extremely proud of all of the students involved.

On Friday 17.11.2017, sixth form students from Hartsdown Academy, attended Kent University personalised Tour of the campus facilities and courses on offer, to prepare them for life at University.
The facilities on offer were amazing and the options for future courses are fantastic. Students were able to visit the Law buildings, cinema, sports facilities, campus accommodation and the shops plus entertainment venues on offer.
This was an excellent opportunity for students to see what life is like at University and to inspire them to see the next chapter of their lives – University living and studying.
